A refined and functional bathroom designed for the natural rhythm of family life.

This project reimagines a compact family bathroom into a calm, beautifully balanced space that combines texture, tone, and thoughtful functionality. The design brings together the shower and bath into one cohesive wet area, allowing for versatile use - where parents can shower while young children are safely within view.

Soft, warm materials create a sense of quiet luxury. Instead of traditional tiles, crushed marble wall render adds depth and tactility, while large-format stone tiles visually expand the floor area and conceal the built-in white bath. The result is a seamless, tonal composition that feels open, grounded, and easy to inhabit.

Design challenges were met with considered solutions. The existing double brick walls prevented a recessed niche, so the vanity was designed to subtly extend into the shower area - elongating the space and providing discreet storage without visual clutter.

This bathroom exemplifies Chalk Lane’s approach to refined, human-centred design - creating interiors that are as practical as they are poetic, where every material, junction, and detail contributes to a sense of effortless calm.
