A lively, intelligent workspace designed to bring creativity, order, and connection to daily family life.

This project transforms a once underutilised corner of an open-plan rumpus room into a functional, design-led study for a young family. The brief called for a workspace that would feel inspiring and cohesive - not a standard “home office,” but a beautiful, enduring feature within the home.

A seamless curved benchtop wraps the room, allowing the entire family - parents and children alike - to work comfortably together. Beneath, vibrant electric-blue cabinetry houses practical essentials such as printers, chargers, and storage, while the hammered blue finish along the desk base subtly shimmers with light, adding personality and energy to the space.

Above, perforated overhead cabinets provide generous storage without visual heaviness, while a custom full-width pinboard adds both acoustic softness and functionality - perfect for notes, drawings, and family schedules.

The result is a highly functional yet joyful environment that balances practicality with refinement. Every detail - from the colour palette to the craftsmanship - contributes to a space that supports productivity, creativity, and togetherness in equal measure.
