This full structural apartment renovation in Tokyo was completed within a Kengo Kuma–designed residential building in the Akagi Shrine precinct. The project required complete interior restoration, full electrical and plumbing replacement, insulation upgrades and precise structural modifications to support a refined layout.

As an Interior Architect-led renovation studio in Japan, we focused on long-term performance, spatial clarity and material discipline. Shikkui plaster walls, oak timber flooring and bespoke joinery were integrated to respect the original architectural language while elevating contemporary liveability.

The result is a high-end Japanese interior renovation that balances heritage sensitivity with modern systems performance, delivering durability, improved thermal comfort and enduring value.
